Principal's Welcome
Welcome back to a brand-new school year! I hope your summer was restful, joyful, and filled with moments that recharged you for the exciting year ahead. At Pioneer Valley we believe that high school is more than just academics—it’s about connection, community, and growing into the best version of yourself. AFTER ALL, SMJUHSD IS WHERE GREATNESS GROWS!
We have two new members of the Administrative team for 2025-2026. Please help us in welcoming back Mrs. Goldin, who will be serving as Assistant Principal over Special Programs. We are grateful to have her back! In addition we are welcoming a new Dean, our very own PVHS graduate, Christian Basulto. We are excited to welcome Mr. Basulto back home to PV, he is going to be great! This year PV Admin will be expanding how we celebrate and honor the success of our students and staff. We have many exciting ideas in the works. If you would like to contribute an idea please go to: PVHS Parent/Guardian Input Form and give us your input.
This year, I want to encourage every student to get involved. Whether it’s joining a club, trying out for a team, participating in student leadership, or supporting your peers from the stands—being connected helps you thrive. Research and our own experience shows us that students who are involved in their school community have better attendance, stronger grades, and a greater sense of connection & purpose.
We’re proud to offer more opportunities than ever before to help you get involved! This year, we’re expanding our A-G course offerings, growing our arts programs with Ballet Folklorico, digital arts, dance classes and more. We are also launching new clubs like Robotics. These additions are designed to support your passions, build your skills, and help prepare you for college, career, and life. Please check out our exciting offerings at our website https://www.pvhspanthers.org/Activities and see your counselor for more information.
There’s a place for everyone at PVHS. If you’re not sure where to start, just ask—we’re here to help you find your path.
In addition, our school will be undergoing a WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) accreditation visit this year. This is an important opportunity for us to reflect on our progress, celebrate our strengths, and set goals for continued growth. Your voice and involvement matter in this process, and we look forward to showcasing the incredible things happening at our school.
Here’s to a year of courage, connection, and Panther pride!
Humbly,
Dr. Robinson
Principal, PVHS
