About

Pioneer Valley High School officially opened its doors on August 11, 2004, making it the newest campus in the Santa Maria Joint Union High School District. It began by serving a class of freshmen and sophomores, and was the first new high school in the Santa Maria Valley in 42 years.
We are located at 675 Panther Drive, in the northeast section of Santa Maria, an area surrounded by agriculture and designated for future housing growth. The campus spans 53.5 acres and is considered a medium-sized city campus.
PVHS offers a comprehensive public high school education, including world language programs in French and Spanish.
Our mascot is the Panther. Since 2018, PVHS has competed in the Central Coast Athletic Association, part of the CIF Central Section.
